Shared Basket Flight
Join a group in a full-size balloon and drift over the Inland Empire with the sun coming up. Our pilot handles everything β you just look around. Most popular option for first-time riders and small parties.
Hot air balloon rides over Southern California's wine country, metropolitan jungle, and the only dropzone in the country where you can watch skydivers leap from the balloon right next to you. FAA-certified pilots. Decades in the air.
Three ways up. Each one is flown by a pilot with a lifetime of aviation behind them. Every flight is booked on a weather-permitting basis; if the sky isn't right, we'll reschedule.

A private basket, just the two of you and your pilot. Ideal for proposals, anniversaries, birthdays, or the "I can't believe we actually did that" kind of moment. We'll help you plan the surprise.
Ascend to between 5,000 and 7,000 feet and watch experienced skydivers leap out of a perfectly good hot air balloon right next to you. There are only a handful of places in the country you can do this. Perris is one.
Bachelor parties, corporate retreats, wedding send-offs, private launches for the brand activation nobody has seen before. Tell us what you want and we'll build the flight around it. The sky is literally the limit.
Perris is one of the few dropzones in the United States where skydivers are permitted to jump out of a hot air balloon. You ride up with them. When the altitude is right, they step out of the basket beside you β and you watch them fall away into the sunrise.
Our wine-country flights partner with Monte De Oro Winery in Temecula Valley. Sunrise over the vines, a pilot who can tell you what you're looking at, then a curated tasting on the ground led by educated staff who actually know the glass in your hand.
Balloons fly at sunrise because the air is calmest then. You’ll be up before the sun — and in the air by the time it crests the hills. Here’s how the morning unfolds.
Meet your pilot at the launch site. Coffee’s on you. We’ll hand out waivers and run a quick safety briefing.
Watch the envelope come to life. A fan blows cold air in, then the burner heats it. The balloon stands up in about 15 minutes.
Sunrise hits the ridgelines. The burner fires and you leave the ground with less drama than an elevator. You’ll wave at your crew.
Drift wherever the wind is going. We fly as low as treetops and as high as 3,000 ft. Your pilot narrates the landscape.
A soft touchdown in a field somewhere. The chase crew arrives with the trailer. We pack up with a traditional balloonist’s toast.
Every flight is piloted by an experienced, licensed aviator. Both of our pilots started in fixed-wing planes as teenagers, logged decades of flight time, and then expanded that love into hot air. You're not just going up β you're going up with someone who knows the air.
Dee's been flying since he was fourteen, starting in fixed-wing planes with his father. After thousands of hours in an airplane, he expanded his love for the air from planes to hot air balloons. Dee's excitement for flight, for the Temecula wine country, and for the people he takes up with him is infectious. You won't help letting it rub off on you by the time you land.
Mike was also raised in the aviation industry β his father flew, and Mike was in the cockpit from a young age. He's been flying fixed-wing planes in Southern California for over 20 years. He lives locally and has a genuine appreciation for the beauty this region holds both from the ground and from the air.
Real words from real sunrise flights. (Note to Dee: swap these placeholder quotes for your actual favorite reviews — first name + city is usually the right attribution.)
Dee took us up over the vineyards for our anniversary. I’ve done a lot of things in my life. Nothing has ever felt that peaceful. Worth every single thing we paid.
Watched my brother jump out of the balloon from about three feet away. I’m 54 years old and it’s still the coolest thing I’ve ever seen a person do. Dee is a class act.
Private Sweetheart for the proposal. She said yes at 2,800 feet. The ring box actually shook in my hand. Dee stayed out of frame the entire time and gave us the moment. Could not recommend more.
A Skyline Balloons gift certificate is the kind of present people remember for the rest of their life. Birthdays, anniversaries, retirements, “thank you for everything” moments — any flight can be gifted, and the recipient picks their own date.
